Couldn't agree more. No-one was asking anyone to eat the flippin pigs! We are talking about ornaments and cartoons!!

How that man has the gall to talk of tolerance when all that has been shown here is intolerance of the ways of the host country. When the first complaint was received the complainant should have been told to stop being so petty and stupid.

The same day this story was in the Daily Mail my daughter was looking for a phone charger and the shop we were in is owned and run by muslims. Amongst the bits and bobs on sale were phone covers featuring Piglet, and little Piglet dangly things to put on phones for decoration. These guys obviously had no problem with them.

Can we start a move amongst Accywebbers to revive the old Lancashire tradition of fattening a pig in the back yard? - there was a time when everybody kept a pig, fed it on the household leavings, and then killed it for food (link with Meat Stinks, anyone?). One family would kill their pig and share it out amongst the neighbours, and then the next pig to be killed would be shared out, etc, and so on. This is one of my beliefs, that we should be able to revive this. How much tolerance do you think I will get from our Muslim spokesman friend?

Oh what a shame that we don't have a backyard.
