The good old ‘Wireless’ days!
After months of deliberating, should I, shouldn’t I, I finally bit the bullet and ordered the whole collection of the Goon Show in 23 volumes of 2 CD’s per box with 2 programmes per CD from Amazon via http://uk.ask.com/redir?qsrc=2004&q=goon+show+cd&u=http%3a%2f%2fwww. thegoonshow.co.uk%2frecordings%2fgoons_cd.html It cost me £300 but what the heck, I like bread and dripping.
If you recall they were broadcast once a week on the Light Programme on the ‘Wireless’ and had the nation in stitches for half an hour each week.
Nest search – Hancock’s Half Hour - The Navy Lark and Round The Horn.
I don’t suppose that ITMA has been put onto CD’s.
