Re: Still TOP of the League and 'aving a larf
A goosd afternoon but I must say that is probably the worst I have seen us play since we threw away a goal against Gravesend. Our defending was shambolic and against a better team we would have been severely punished. I didn't recognise the side today from the past few weeks. Nobody really stood out Paul did his normal job but the rest seemed to be half asleep. If the game at Southport had gone ahead I'd understand but wit the extra rest no excuses.
Didn't see the penalty so can't comment, Gary's claim in the first half was speculative at best, ran into the pair rather than they took him out, but again he was only half the player he normally is. Man of the Match has to go to Halifax's number 20 Grant I think he is called, a real handful.
Fair play to Halifax they have watched us and stopped us playing, but I really feel we could have put in a much better performance especially considering the crowd. Hopefully it won't put too many people off coming back in 3 weeks.
