I produce documentation, Policies and Procedures for a Care Company, under National Minimum Standards I have to make provision for producing those documents in the chosen 1st language of the service user. or their carer.

If you are I go to any other county in the known world we are expected to make the effort to learn the language or pay for an interpreter.

I don’t object to doing this, and I suppose it’s what I get paid for, but the pendulum should swing both way’s, and the day might just come when you single line is the one in English.
