Re: Bad mouse.(cleaning)
I've got a wireless keyboard and an optical mouse. The keyboard is so worn now you can't see the letters on it, which is OK for me because I know where they are but it confuses people who have to look at a keyboard in order to type.
The mouse is OK most of the time but it does sometimes develop a mind of its own and the cursor shoots off where you don't want it to go. All fine and dandy unless I'm doing something graphic and delicate.
When I had a mouse with a ball I tended to find the rollers got a bit yucky so I used to clean them with a cotton bud with a drop of isopropanol on it. We always used to use that for cleaning computer bits at work. I have no idea where you can get it from these days on its own but it comes with head cleaning kits and it works wonders. If water won't shift a stubborn bit of muck isopropanol usually works a treat.
