Just got home after long round trip from Carshalton; obviously still shellshocked after Saturday
and we were nowhere near as dangerous yesterday (and Stanley looked far sharper), so result never really in doubt. Have to say the Stanley fans were quality and there was nothing but friendliness from everyone- and not a trace of the arrogance that a lot of conference clubs seem to exhibit. Shame that Accrington seemed to be closed by the time we got there and there wasn't much real ale to be found, aside from that and the outcome it was a good trip. I think everyone at Carshalton would wish you all the best in your bid to get back in the league- it would be great to see one of football's old names return from the dead!
Just as a point of interest, I assume you had an old ground somewhere nearer the town centre?
