Re: Person of the year

It’s a bit like being anally fixated isn’t it. For Christ sake can’t we just once have a discussion without resulting to bun hole metaphors and the like.

Returning to the matter in hand, the success of these local community based awards is publicity, how else would you know to nominate someone for Good Neighbour or Young Person without it.

Keeping that in mind could we as a forum/group come up with a short list of people to go forward in each category? Rather than find reasons to discuss arse holes……..Think about it.

Child of Courage
Emma’s Son

Public Service Person
A Community Warden

Young Person
Shakermaker – for being an example of good youth and not turning into a pratt.

Entrepreneur
Eric Whalley for services to Accrington

Volunteer of the Year
Dorothy McGregor

Amateur Sports Person
There must be one?

Good Neighbour
And one of these?

Employee of the Year
There’s one at HBC isn’t there Garinda

Bravery
And there’s many of these in our public services or even our own homes (see top of the list for an example)
