Live chickens are still being imported from France. But we couldn't ban them anyway, as only the European Commission has the power to do this. However, that didn't stop the French refusing to drop the ban on our beef, even after it had been declared safe by the European Commission in 1999. Sadly our government doesn't have the guts to do the same with French chickens.
