Good article but I have always believed Accrington were one of the founder members of the league, and this is also noted in the football museum in Preston!!!
Ok before anyone points out my school girl error, I know it was accrington FC that were founder members... and stanley are a different team. But I must admit I do see it as one club with a history!! Call it the romantic in me
