each area of the town gets split up into different teams. each quarter the team with the best recycling percentage is given a prize.
The chips cost about a quid each and the weighing machines about 1800 quid.

When the scheme was set up they (LAB) opted for chipped bins and boxes. The difficulty is weighing them, though this idea was a future consideration when purchasing the chipped ones.
