My name is Lee and I'm a third year Journalism student at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston.
As part of our final year we have to produce a 12-page weekly newspaper on the Preston/Lancashire area for six weeks. This week I've been given the role of sports editor and have decided to do a focus on Accrington Stanley's promotion bid and general history as our sports feature. I even went to the game at Southport last night, haven't been so cold in a long time (thank god we got promoted back to the league at the first attempt last year
)
Anyway, I was just wondering if any Stanley fans would be able to help with the feature. I'm looking to get a few fans views on what promotion to the League would mean to them and how they think the club would cope. I'm looking to get a good mix of age groups if possible, particularly I'm looking to get a few older fans, possibly someone who saw the original Accrington team that went bust and out of the league in 1962.
If anyone can help either on here or by email, that would be much appreciated.
