Thanks for the info. I will most certainly pass it on. I have one at the bottom of my stairs just outside the kitchen. I fitted it myself several years ago and although I do change the battery annually, it has come in useful. I have had several small culinary accidents. I'm surprised that my cooker still works..........My neighbours are used to seeing burning grill pans and other pans hurling down the garden path (luckily the cooker is next to the back door and I have sturdy oven gloves

). Amazingly, I have never had to call the fire brigade............... All I can say is that I'm glad I don't have a chip pan.
I'm so bad a cooking that I have started warming stuff up in the microwave rather than the cooker, as I'm fed up of buying pans....
