I am sure that you all know about creating private rooms
. You can just move to a private room and not invite whoever is being a pain in the bum. If you keep an eye on new people appearing in main chat you can invite them to the private room and still leave the naughty ones out. Then you can report the trouble to a mod when one appears.
I think you probably stayed in main chat because you were enjoying the hassle
