Just shows how misguided people get when they stick to protocol or formalities. In the end Diana's family had its fair share of divorces and scandals so she might have been 'aristocracy' but the family was just as prone to trouble as any other.

I'm not really interested in the royals either way but I do think it's a shame that he wasn't allowed to marry the love of his life when he was younger. Having said that, the affair that carried on behind Diana's back was pretty dispicable.
