Well, I have to put my two penn'th in here. Charles was not the only one having an affair; the much vaunted Princess of Hearts had her share as well. We are aware of at least three I think, we don't know if there were any others, so I suppose if you wish to tar Camilla as a tart you have to do the same for Di. As far as we know, Charlie Boy only had one affair. I'm not condoning that, just trying to keep things in perspective.

Yes he should have stood up to protocol and the family and married who the hell he wanted, but we are unaware what kind of pressures can be brought to bear within Royal circles. Personally, I wish them all the best and hope that their marriage makes them both happy for the rest of their lives. I'm not sure Charles is ever going to be King anyway, his mother could well outlive him the way she is going. He may be well advised to just pass it up and let his eldest son, who seems to be very popular, take the crown if he does survive his mother's death.
