Re: dont you just hate it when
It can sometimes be very infuriating when you get phone calls trying to sell you a new mobile contract. I usually tell them immediately I am not interested and am very happy with my PAYG. As I only spend about £10.00 per month a contract phone would be more expensive, and I have one of the latest Motorola phones anyway, so I'm not interested in a phone upgrade. They still go on at length with their sales patter, which must cost them money.
One of the most infruiating calls I ever made was when I wanted to change my ISP. I rang AOL for a MAC code, and had to listen to a 30 minute rant about how they would give me a new modem, reduce my monthly fee etc, and rubbished my intended new ISP. After 30 minutes when I hadn't caved in to their rant they finally agreed to send me a MAC code, and then had the cheek to say I had wasted their time. Which I thought was impertinant, to say the least, as they could have agreed to my request for the MAC code as soon as I had asked. I was glad that I wasn't paying for the phone call though.
