Hehehe, I tend to lay the phone handset gently onto the table and sod off into the kitchen and brew up. 20 minutes later when I return to the phone, they've always gone.....

Alternatively, you can just say that you can't talk right now but if they leave their home number you will call them in their own time and discuss:- mobile phones/double glazing/insurance etc.

I don't get anywhere near as many as I used to since registering on TPS.
