It doesn't have to be bitingly witty or super intelligent or even helpful and constructive to be a worthwhile post but at one time we did used to have to say something worth saying rather than just the "oh not it isn't" "oh yes it is" pantomime style banter. I remember a time when we had posts deleted by mods for treating the board like a chatroom.

There have been some instances when threads have deteriorated into that chatroom level which isn't the same as thread wandering. Wandering I can cope with because it often wanders back again to the original topic or if that topic was exhaiseted we find an interesting tangent anyway but the posts which say more or less nothing for a couple of pages actually discourage me from looking any further and I may miss something interesting which comes up later on but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I suppose I can be the opposite sometimes and ramble on a bit too much in one post if I've got a lot to say on a topic. Hence I declined being a Goddess (I'm being sexist now because I wouldn't want to be a God anyway) and opted for being a waffler which describes me far better.

Congratulations on your 2k entwisi and yes you are an extremely helpful person and I appreciate all the times you have come to our rescue when we've been stumped about something. I may need to pick your brains again soon if I can't suss something else out myself.
