Yes, Stephen Yates still makes pies the way his Dad did - they used to make great jellied pies as well, but haven't seen those for a time. It's such a shame to see it now, it used to be such a bustling busy street. On the block down from Yates/May Jolly's, there used to be another bakers, Mathers, and a butchers, Mr Mackay, who wife taught at Sacred Heart.
It seemed much bigger when I was littler!
