My dad (Kenneth Entwistle if anyone knew him)worked at Nori a few times, (interspersed with Howard and Bulloughs).
He used to empty the bricks from the ovens and load them onto lorries. Had lots of tales about them. Of course a NORI is a lot heavier than a london brick (8lbs each IIRC) and he used to tell tales of southern wagon drivers who used to insist to load up with the same number of NORIs as they would carry Londons only for either the wagon to break or the local bobbys to send them back to take 3/4 of them off where my dad would make them unload them themselves
