Re: Women Authors and books
I can think of some very good female authors. What about Jane Austen? Jeanette Winterson tells a good tale and have you read Anne McCaffrey? I particularly like her dragon books (science fiction with a difference). I've enjoyed a few of Nancy Mitford's books too, she was very wry, and the Bronte sisters weren't bad either.
What I can't stand are the Mills and Boon type writers, so-called romantic fiction, and Catherine Cookson leaves me cold. Each to his own, eh?
