Re: See no Evil
Being otherwise engaged, I did not see last night's programme; nor have I any intention of watching tonight. However, a long time ago I read the court transcripts and even before then I have childhood recollections of the grim story unfolding.
I certainly have no truck with this notion that Hindley was the "least evil" of the two; they were both of sound mind and both knew exactly what they were doing. But whereas Brady has always admitted full culpability, Hindley played the "Society is to blame" card. For the last 15 years of her life she was involved in a series of attempts for early release, ranging from petitions to 'friendships' with that gullible crackpot, Lord Longford. Thank god she died a miserable, cancerous death, still locked up.
