I remember ITMA (but
after the war). Also remember The Man in Black on a Saturday night, Henry Hall's dance band, Mrs Dale's Diary, Dick Barton Special Agent, Just William, Workers' Playtime. A bit later (we got our first TV in 1952 but it was only on for 2 hours a day) all the programmes Pendy mentions. I think the Goons has to be my favourite of all time, closely followed by Round the Horn and Hancock. I've also listened to The Archers since Day One - and still do.
