Ok, I'll give it a go -

First and foremost I'm a Mum and a Wife. Then I'm mostly Marketing Officer of Mid Pennine Arts. However, that's not all - I work freelance and in some cases voluntarily for a number of other organisations; Hyndburn Women's Forum, Hyndburn Mela, Oswaldtwistle Players, a leading house building company and a local private school amongst others.

The reason why I was so evasive is because I kind of do different things for each organisation but broadly speaking it's marketing and event management.

I also organise one-off events and activities for organisations and groups depending on budget and requirements. I also help some organisations get funding for events but don't manage the projects, again sometimes for a fee but mostly for free.

And almost forgot - I write articles for a couple of business magazines. I don't and NEVER have worked for the Accrington Observer, although I used to submit a column I never got paid for it.

So that's why it depends who's asking.
