Nope I`m not happy with the state of the shelter or monument, but the Coppice is the only piece of easily accessable moorland within walking distance of the town. You can easily find yourself on your own with only the wildlife and the breeze for company. Thats why I like it as it is and I suspect why other people feel the same.
