Maybe the answer to your question Lampman lies with those crashing waves. If they imported sand it would probably end up all being washed out to sea!

There are a few small beaches if you know where to look.

We got some crashing waves too. I wouldn't worry too much about the weather though. Even if it rains it won't last all week and it will be nice and warm the rest of the time.
