am affraid chav1 that although the astro turf sounds an easy option , it wont grow my veg pmsl
but thanks madhatter for your advice i will look into that one and let you know how i go . i must admit your right on the bindweed its a ruddy pest i no sooner weeded than in a day or so its back arrrrrgh
