I think that sometimes threads can get a bit......erm, terse, but then it mirrors how we sometimes are in the real world. You have bad days and someone will get the sharp side of your tongue.....but it doesn't usually last long....and I don't really think there is any malice behind it.
The site is so diverse and so you are not going to get everyone to agree with everything....that is what makes it interesting.
