If a fire engine from GMC enters Lancs, Lancs have to pay GMC for it, so Lancs would be more likely to send Preston. Even if Preston come in to cover, they would only send one fire engine, reducing cover in Preston to one fire engine.

Whichever way you look at it, fire cover is being reduced.

And you are wrong - the people of Oswaldtwistle fought for thier engine to be moved to Hyndburn rather than be lost completely and they won then.

People can still stop this by writing to thier MPs and councillors.
