I’ve heard a rumour that during WWII there was a Prisoner of War Camp somewhere on the Ossy moors.

Can anyone throw any light on this matter?

Whilst I am at it. Has anyone heard of a railway station called Entwistle that was also supposed to be on the Ossy moors? In the late forties our band of intrepid, scabby kneed explorer kids spent many fruitless days searching for Entwistle without any success.
