I would venture being a pedant that the bike itself is not dangerous, how,where or when we ride them is the dangerous aspect of the experience.
e.g. my own major accident. I've ridden thousands of miles on bikes, sometimes faster than I should, sometimes more recklessly than I should, sometimes mor stupidly than I should, my only major accident was because I stopped(0 mph) at a red light on a major road out of a city with a certain person in a car behind me.
