ah thats a local one, thats mainly north west isn't it, here its youth with an f youf, as in 'ya alrite youf ows it gooin. aya bin down yum yet.' we do speak english, honest

Derby is one that drifts over this way, which is 'duck' 'meduck' for both sexes, which my uncle uses a lot even though he's born here, and it nearly got him started on one night when he went in a pub and said have ya got change for the phone me duck. she told her regulars that he'd called her a duck, and they were ready to pounce. He came back from the phone and said thanks me duck. dunno what happened but it must have got sorted, I think his girl friend over heard and explained just in time.
