I thought the ground was fine. Typical purpose built construction, which is functional and compact. I wish we had something like that (covered all sides).
Chester side looked as though it needed time to gell (where there 10 new players in your starting line-up?), but all of them were experienced League 2 and above players. Without wanting to sound petty and I haven't seen many League 2 matches, but I think Chester are a very average team, possibly even leaning towards being the poor end of average. This obviously isn't good for us, is it?
I think height and strength are the most important characteristics of teams in this league and that is worrying for us. We looked very light weight, especially in midfield and up front. Players were too easily pushed off the ball and seemed to lack pace as well.
I'm not judging the team at this early stage of the season, it would be foolish and unfair to do so, but we may very well need to make a number of signings if we are going to survive.
