Hey Cashman et al,
An erector set had all these metal pieces that fit together with tiny screws and nuts. You could follow various designs and create buildings, train tressels, etc. It was quite tedious work but very enjoyable for me and my brothers and sister during the cold winters of New England.
It was kinda like the Lincoln logs (little logs which you build log cabins and such with) and then the legos. Both these were much less tedious and over took the erector set!
Spuggie J - I have no idea what any of those words mean (tablet, flesh, meccano tower). Didn't want to offend if you stated the same thing I just described! I'm still trying to get a handle on this "foreign" language of my ancestors! BIG Smile!
