Do they really think they look good or stylish or even anything less than sub-human.
I know that the culture of MTV has made role models of rappers from the ghetto, but they have had success and drive Bentleys and Aston Martins while their Lancastrian counterparts ride around on childrens BMX bikes.
Thank goodness as a youth I may have had role models, heroes even, but I did`nt dress like them..... excepting early Midge Ure!

Just imagine the pictures in the about 100 year time, historical Accrington will be hillarious. On a serious note though. I work in the town centre (Doorman) at the weekends, & get really fed up with all the "chavs". They can't seem to get it into thier thick skulls, that tracksuits aren't smart, that's why they're not allowed in the pubs. The new nightclub/late pub "Industry" has just stopped allowing stripped jumpers into thier venue. Also all jewelery must be discreet (no massive chains or rings). Fair play to them, at least they're trying to make a difference. 10 years ago i wouldn't have dreamt of going out on a fri/sat night in anything but trousers and a shirt.
