She'd be really upset if she knew I'd told anyone, so no names, but a month after being diagnosed with Parkinson's a lady I hardly know gave me a cheque for a thousand pounds. I of course refused it, but she said she'd be hurt if I didn't accept it graciously and use the money. I paid to see another specialist and had weekly acupuncture, which at the time helped me greatly.

Again, thank you.

Thanks also for a great thread. It's all so easy to knock people and complain, but it's nice to talk about the many exceptionally kind and caring people there are for a change.
