When I was at school, after the rock cakes, this was the delectable dish we had to produce ... could never get the sausage meat to bind proper .. and finished up all cracked and parting itself from the egg very quickly. Tasted good though, better than in the supermarkets.
Sorry kate never found any even up here with whiskey in them. Maybe its down to there origin and as every thing that comes from Scotland seems to be labeled Scotch and not Scots therein lies the confusion.

Home made is always better and it is an artform to get the binding right and even harder if doing mini ones.
