The Aussie police are notoriously corrupt, as our antipodean members will tell you. Giving them a bung is part of the system, whether it is to avoid a speeding ticket or to get someone else locked up. So that is why I am surprised that this film has not been 'leaked' by now. $5000 Aussie dollars in a brown envelope up front with a slice of future royalties will be more than fair dinkum to your average Aussie plod.
