I would like to suggest to the general public that all monies raised in the next twelve months are split 50-50 between the OSC and a local charity. I tried to post this on general chat to gauge local opinion on a worthwile cause but was moved to hints/tips/advice where I have had little feedback.

Where, if anywhere, do Stanley Supporters think we should be looking?

At the risk of sounding mercenary, the better the cause the more money we will raise for both parties. My opinion is that human interest will gain more support than animals, local will gain a shed load more support than national, and kids will raise more money than an adult interest.

I would rather set about raising £5000 for little Jonny to have a new wheelchair than putting money into a bottomless pit that would be something like Cancer Relief. All charity work is good work, all ideas are worthwhile. Again I think that the local angle of paying for something entirely is worth more, to that individual and dare I say it in terms of publicity to us, than contributing to something that cannot be instantly fixed like a national fund.

Little Jonny would notice us paying for his Euro Disney trip whereas nobody would notice a couple of thousand going into a fund that already gets national recognition, or government funding, or lottery money.

Please do not pick me up on small detail as I well aware that this that and the other need help. But as I said I would rather help individuals.
