I'm all for raising money for charity etc - I pay £12 a month by standing order to animal charities. However, if charity fundraising is something you want to do, surely you can do it seperate from accrington stanley supporters club. It's like the rspca doing fundraising and giving all the proceeds (or half of them) to the nspcc!

I think each year a local charity should be nominated as the club's charity for the season. They would receive a percentage of the proceeds from fundraising events held at the club and the charity would also benefit from their association with accy stanley as it would raise their profile in the local area, highlighting their cause...

Don't take it the wrong way, I just think the beauty of the supporters club is that people who choose to support them do so in the knowledge that all the money raised goes to accrington stanley. It's better not to confuse things, surely...?
