In Tenerife, you have two choices, cremation which is the way I prefer, I don't want to be buried alive either, and the second choice is in a hole in the wall. Before they shove your coffin in they cover your body in quicklime. Five years later the hole is ready to receive a new resident.
The local Canarians have a special day during the year when they all go to the wall holes and spend the day with the dead folk.
