Don't intend to give offense, but I find that story to be glurge. Cloying and transparently created to evoke a certain emotional response. I'd have to wonder if it is fiction. The anti-abortion movement uses a lot of this sort of syrupy stuff. Every deformed child who is not aborted is somehow destined for greatness and that sort of thing.

Just my opinion. Feel free to enjoy that sort of thing is it pleases you.
