Re: Would you play God????
I do not see life as disposable, but I think women should continue to have the choice of whether they have a child....and when. OK, I know that theoretically speaking, there should be no unwanted pregnancies with the contraceptive advances there have been in the last 50 years....but the fact is that there will still be failures of contraception......and there will still be human failures too.......an unwanted child is a punished child. It never ceased to amaze me that a woman could opt to terminate a pregnancy rather than give up a baby for adoption.....but again, maybe we have society to blame(in part) for this. Somehow, a woman is stigmatised for giving up her child....even if it is done in a controlled manner (rather than having the baby and leaving it on a doorstep somewhere)and certainly a child who is given up must go through the agonies of wondering why it was rejected....not the best start in life. Every solution causes a problem.
