I think the question really is : do others percieve you as being racist, and I don't think most people do. Sometimes perhaps there is a misunderstanding as to what racism actually is. To be aware that a person's skin is a different colour is no more racist that noticing that someone has different coloured hair or eyes. The fact that they speak a different language or have different customs again is not a matter of racism. It is when people of a different colour, race etc. to ones own are regarded as inferior because they are of a different colour, race or whatever that it becomes racism.
Therefore if you remark that someone is Chinese, Arab, Pakistani, West Indian and another sees that as racist then I would question their perception of those races, not yours.
