Are you all gonna' rush to Sainsbury's/Tesco where a new potato is being launched which has been bred to represent what Sir Walter Raliegh brought back to England from South America in the 16th century ? Where did it go anyway ?
Called the Mayan Gold and apparentely has a golden flesh with a buttery taste ... yummy. Wonder if ya' can make chips or roast or mash it. Think might try a few.
To me, gotta' go a long way before it matches the King Edwards, makes the best roast spuds in the whole wide world.
What's your favourite ? Any new recipe ideas welcome.
