Unfortunately had a word with my child about it & she still wants to go to that secondary school as most of her class is 'going to that school' being feeder for it going on her feelings altho was disappointed with results of it then for me she would go to hollins her second choice but then she would be going for my sake if to change order...so what do i do? Encourage her to go to school that has reasonable standing on league table or let her make the desicion she wants to go with hope of improvement now that they are bottomish
She is a bright intelligent child & hope that the school will encourage that or risk her being let down educationally. What the heck has happened to mount carmel was such a great school with good rep now being pulled so far down.
Plus i have to take into consideration of getting her there & back safely & be here for my other one coming home from primary when i dont drive
as only parent i cant be in 2 places at once - when you consider all the options as well as educational.
