It is a sad story, but as Maxwell points out, it really comes a little surprise.
However, the dead are just that;dead. No amount of handwringing will bring them back or ameliorate the horror of the way they died.
I think that the bereaved families energies would be better expended by trying to seek out the truth of what actually happened on that day, both as a final duty to the innocents who died and as a service to our ideals of democracy.
