having left England many years ago, I do not find the comment patronising, I do know what he is on about and yes it is easier if it's an english speaking country. From this end, its more the women that go through homesickness than the men, although for us it was my husband that wanted to return to England, which we did, but then it was him that wanted to come back here after a while!!
