HOW NOT TO GET A SPEEDING FINE

Firstly, you need to be a cop called PC Stephen Akrill,
You need to be driving a marked Police Land Rover
You also must be on your way to collect a pre-ordered chinese meal

.............He was on his way to pick up the meal in the Land Rover (which should only be used for Police purposes) and heard about an incident over the radio. He increased his speed to assist - - - but after being "flashed" by a speed camera, he realised that his presence was not required at the incident so slowed down and continued to the "Take-Away" Thats what he told the courts but...................

1) He was not authorised to attend the incident

2) He did not radio in that he was available and on his way,

3) He did not turn on his blue emergency lights.

4) He took a route through the suburbs when a faster motorway route was available

Wasn't he fortunate that when he decided not to attend, he was just 100 metres from the Chinese Take-Away.

He was originally prosecuted because of "overwhelming" evidence but the judge dismissed the case saying that he believed PC Akrills account and added "In my view, the officer gave his evidence in almost disarming honesty"

PC Akrill added after the case that for him, it was a sweet and sour experience................glad someone found the story humerous
