Didn't your ex have a violent and unhappy childhood? Not an excuse for his behavior as I've know many people that have gone from having a bad childhood to being excellent partners and parents, but I think these are the kind of issues Cameron was trying to address.
I agreed with some of what he was saying but disagreed with just as much too, so yes it will be interesting to see what they have in the pipeline.
